Comparison study of phase-field and level-set method for three-phase systems including two minerals

چکیده
Abstract We investigate reactive flow and transport in evolving porous media. Solute species that are transported within the fluid phase taking part mineral precipitation dissolution reactions for two competing phases. The evolution of three phases is not known a-priori but depends on concentration dissolved solute species. To model coupled behavior, phase-field level-set models formulated. These formulations compared increasingly challenging setups including significant overgrowth. Simulation outcomes examined with respect to volumes surface areas as well derived effective quantities such diffusion permeability tensors. In doing so, we extend results current benchmarks dissolution/precipitation at pore-scale multiphasic solid case. Both approaches found be able simulate three-phase system, influenced by curvature-driven motion.
